Fresh Creative Awards 2008
The Fresh Creative Awards 2008 took place on Thursday 25 September at the Imperial War Museum on Salford Quays in Manchester with a record attendance of 350 guests to witness the best show of regional creativity outside of London.
All creative disciplines were truly represented with a varied shortlist made up from over 50 different advertising and design agencies from around the UK and Ireland, and over 60 separate awards were made, gold, silver and bronze across the 40 different categories.
Manchester-based design agency The Chase scooped the ultimate accolade of the evening with their Chase 2008 Calendar, by winning The Big F trophy, which has previously resided in the offices of Leeds based Propaganda, Manchester’s McCann Erickson and Newcastle design agency Sumo.
NEPA members who came away with awards from the evening were Different with two Gold and two Bronze, Cravens, with a Gold and two Silver, and Drummond Central, with two Silver.
Paula Kelsey, Fresh Director said “With increasing categories and as a result, entry levels rising steadily each year, the number of awards is also on the up. Our aim is to always deliver an awards ceremony that holds the attention of the audience and ensure that the work and the winners are appropriately featured and this approach, although novel, has certainly paid off.”
